The following chart shows the observed tide levels (green), the predicted astronomical tide levels (black dash), and the predicted tide plus wind surge levels (blue) for Ockway Bay, MA. The dashed red line is the difference between the actual and the predicted values.
The astronomical tide levels were predicted using the UTide software and the wind driven surge is predicted using a machine learning technique described here.
